Secret Santa Gifts with Not on the High Street
I have been involved in many a Secret Santa gift buying challenge in the past, mainly when I worked full-time and before I became self-employed……there was always a giddy sense of anticipation about who would pick you, what you would receive, and more importantly, what you would choose for the person you picked out of the Secret Santa hat! So,when Not on the High Street approached me and asked me if I would like to participate in a Food Blogger’s Secret Santa, I was intrigued and delighted to accept. My challenge was to spend money, no problems there, on THREE other bloggers, and I had a budget of £30 per person, so £90 to spend in total. I spent an enjoyable weekend perusing the Not on the High Street site, which I use already for original gifts, and emailed my gift links into the challenge organiser. All I had to do was to sit back and wait for my gifts to arrive then, which was quite exciting in itself!
The first gift to arrive was a card…….and I was rather puzzled by this, but I suspect it was to make up the budget, and it was nice to receive a card with cakes on it! Second to arrive, was a Chalk Board Label On Stem (£5:95), which will be quite handy for the garden, and as an avid gardener I always need labels to mark what seeds I have planted……..this was followed by a fabulous gift of a Six Mini Vintage Jelly Moulds (£24), and not replicas either, but authentic vintage jelly moulds, I absolutely love anything like this and I was really pleased when I opened the parcel!
With my mounting excitement, I looked out for my next Secret Santa gifts, and the next day I received a beautiful Hand Decorated Butter Dish (£29:95) in cobalt blues with cornflowers decorating it, it really is a lovely piece of pottery and will be very handy for food styling as well as storing butter of course!
With so many lovely gifts arriving, I almost forgot that there was one last gift and it duly arrived a couple of days later……..an intriguing and rather lovely Flowering Tea Discovery Set (£26). The set contains a Lotus Glass Teapot with metal strainer and a sampler tin of 5 different Flowering teas and was presented in a lovely hand-made paper covered box.
As part of the Secret Santa challenge, I now have to choose which gift was my favourite, which is rather hard given the lovely array I was sent…….however, I think the gift that got the most “ooooohs” and “ahhhhhhs” when I opened it, was the set of six vintage jelly moulds, so my favourite gift for that initial reason has to be the jelly moulds, and the Chalk Board Label On Stem which was part of this gift! A BIG thanks to whoever sent those to me, and thanks for all the other Secret Santa purchasers for their lovely gifts too. Karen
Disclaimer: I was sent the gifts as described in this post and I was not paid to write this or share any positive reviews of the products I received. All views and opinions are my own.

I really love the jelly moulds. The flowering tea would make a wonderful gift, but there’s no way I’d part with the moulds. I have to admit to being a big fan of Not On The High Street and I’ve bought a lot of very original gifts from them. I love the fact that you can personalise so many of the products. GG

What fun Karen. Love that flowering tea set – that would have been my number one. But I can quite see why the jelly moulds were yours.
